🔴 Are you sickle cell positive and pregnant? The fact that you are sickle cell positive and pregnant makes your pregnancy journey a very high risk one.

🔴 You are at increased risk of the following:

☄️Hypertension during pregnancy

☄️Preeclampsia

☄️Eclampsia

☄️Kidney infections

☄️Pneumonia

☄️Blood clot formation in the brain

☄️Blood clot formation in the legs

☄️Blood clot formation in the lungs

☄️Your baby not growing well during pregnancy

☄️Your baby being born preterm

☄️Your baby’s placenta detaching earlier than normal ( placenta abruption)

☄️ Bacteria getting into your blood stream because of an infection

🔴 All these can reduce your survival rate. Please find a good obgyn to take care of you when you’re pregnant. This is very important.
